Would you like to be part of creating a landmark production at Lighthouse Poole this summer (27th - 30th July) working with a creative team and dozens of other members of your community?
People from Poole will come together with Lighthouse and Angel Exit Theatre to create SALT, a brand new community play for Poole. It will be performed at Lighthouse and on the streets of Poole from 27th - 30th July.
Set between 1681 and the present day, SALT shines a light on the fascinating relationship between Poole and Newfoundland and the first brave women who made the treacherous voyage to a hostile land to settle. It’s about what it means to belong and what it means to leave your homeland behind.
We’re looking for around 100 people to perform, including a choir. You don’t need any performing experience and people of all ages and abilities are welcome.
Under 16s need to attend with a guardian - no unaccompanied children can take part. If you have specific access requirements to attend the castings please let us know.
You'll have the opportunity to work on and learn about delivering creative activities with the public, as well as professional artists. Of course, you'll also be able to be part of an amazing community performance and have some fun! There are a range of roles available providing experience and skills building in different areas.
Saturday 18th March from 3 - 5 pm:
Come along to the Lighthouse to find out more. Meet some of the team, hear excerpts from the script and ask any questions you may have. This session will also be on Zoom if you are unable to attend in person.
